Grant combines lived experience of disability from childhood with a clear understanding of how capacity and function can change over time to inform his approach to accessibility and communications.
Growing up with a form of juvenile avascular necrosis, he also acquired further disability after an accident left him with multi-level cervical spinal trauma. This combination led to extensive upper and lower limb nerve and muscle damage requiring a wheelchair for mobility.
With 25 years of experience in design, communications and branding development, he’s also completed studies in personal training and allied health assistance, to better understand the links and challenges between disability, health and fitness.
